Considine Announces Bid for Re-Election to State Assembly

Re-election campaign kick-off to be held in Baraboo

Baraboo – State Representative Dave Considine (D-Baraboo) has announced he will seek re-election to his 81st Assembly District seat. Considine has represented the district since 2014.

“Two years ago my neighbors, friends, and fellow citizens voted to send me to Madison as their advocate. I have been proud to serve as their voice in our State Assembly,” Considine said. “Since the beginning of my term, I have worked across party lines to protect our public schools and educators, strengthen our local economy, and protect our environmental heritage in the Baraboo Hills and the Wisconsin River Valley.”

In his first term, Rep. Considine has served on the Assembly Committees on Agriculture, Education, Environment, Mental Health Reform, and Mining & Rural Development. He has worked with legislators and community members on both sides of the aisle to advance the interests of the 81st District. Above all, he has focused on being a consistent voice of positivity and common sense.

Since his election in 2014, Rep. Considine has worked tirelessly to protect essential resources like SeniorCare and IRIS, ensure better working conditions for Wisconsin correctional officers and staff, promote responsible use of the former Badger Army Ammunition Plant, and advocate for local businesses, among many other issues.

“I consider it a great privilege to represent the hardworking people of the 81st District. I am proud to serve as your voice in our state government. But there is so much more to be done, and I want to continue putting my experience and skills to use for you,” stated Considine.

Rep. Considine’s re-election campaign kick-off fundraiser will be held on Sunday, May 22nd from 2-4 PM at the Pumphouse Bar & Grille at E11614 Tranquility Lane off Highway 123 in Baraboo. Supporters and their families are welcome.
